I actually few he is a great actor, particularly in flash back scenes and the holo deck. I think that Sisco & Jake make a great realistic family, and when they are on Earth at the Grand Dads even more realistic. I have to agree with you on this one. I couldn’t imagine another actor in his place. The only thing I don’t like about DS9 & TNG is that damn treaty with Cardasia.

@Alfrunk whoa. Benjiman sisko may be the worst character in the history of star trek, he is one of the few characters in the whole series that relates to me personally. In both the character design and the actor’s intrepretation. I sense the reasoning and understand his feelings. But that is just me.

I loved seeing him in prison aboard the enterprise.
I think it’s interesting that they give Q the role of comic relief, it’s the only way they can get away with having an omnipotent character without him being seen as the ultimate threat. If Q were really more malicious, I doubt anyone would dare to threaten him as we see in this part. If he never brought them back, what could Sisko really do about it? A whole lot of nothing, that’s what.

I’ll never understand this obsession with accumulating material wealth. You spend your entire life plotting and scheming to acquire more and more posessions until your living areas are bursting with useless junk and then you die, your relatives sell everything and start the cycle all over again.
